GazeVideo 1-on-1 Conversation Research

GazeVideo runs ongoing, open research into how 1-on-1 video conversations actually unfold — when people stay, when they move on, and what they say matters. Every study is published here once it clears our sample threshold and review.

All research is based on anonymous behavioral data collected on gazevideo.live. We never record video or audio, and we never publish anything about identifiable individuals — only aggregate patterns. Our definitions, sampling rules, and exclusion criteria are fully documented in the research methodology, and numbers are published only after a study reaches its minimum sample size and passes operator review.

Conversation Behavior

What happens in the opening moments of a random video match? This line of research measures when people decide to keep talking or switch to someone new, second by second, across the start of real 1-on-1 conversations.

Connection Quality

Does the technical quality of a call relate to how long it lasts? This research compares connection latency against conversation duration and other session outcomes — carefully framed as association, not proof of cause.

User Survey

Numbers tell us what people do; a survey tells us what they value. This voluntary, anonymous single-question survey asks what matters most in a first 1-on-1 video conversation.

How We Work

Transparency is part of the output. Every study links back to the same published methodology: how a conversation is defined, what a “skip” means, which sessions are excluded, and what we never collect. Read it before quoting any number from these pages.
