Stay in Control of Every Conversation

No platform can promise a perfectly safe internet, and we won’t pretend otherwise. What actually keeps video chat safe is control — knowing you can leave any conversation in one tap — plus a handful of habits that take seconds. Here’s the honest version.

The Controls You Always Have

Leave anytime

Every conversation is voluntary. End any chat instantly, for any reason or no reason — the other person is never owed an explanation.

Switch to someone new

One tap closes the current match and looks for another. A conversation that stopped feeling right is already over.

Video or text

Your camera is your choice. Use text whenever you’d rather not be seen, and switch only if and when you want to.

Free to start, nothing to install

Starting a conversation costs nothing, and GazeVideo runs in your browser — no app download, no device-wide permissions to grant.

Protect Your Personal Information

Keep your location vague

City is plenty. Avoid sharing your home address, workplace, school, or daily routine — and check that mail, ID badges, or landmarks aren’t visible on camera.

Guard your money and accounts

Card numbers, bank details, crypto wallets, passwords — none of it belongs in a chat with someone you just met. Requests for money are the single most common scam pattern; treat any such request as the end of the conversation.

Be slow with social handles

A social media username unlocks far more about you than a video call does — friends, history, often your location. Share them slowly, if at all.

Assume anything can be captured

You can’t control the other person’s screen. Keep anything you wouldn’t want saved — information or imagery — out of the conversation.

Our 18+ Age Policy

GazeVideo is for adults only, and every visitor confirms they are 18 or over before entering a chat. If anyone in a conversation claims to be under 18 — or asks whether you are — end the conversation immediately. There are no exceptions to this rule, and there never will be.

What We Expect from Everyone

Safety runs both ways. Do not record or screenshot another person without their consent — it violates the Community Guidelines and, in many places, the law. Take “no” the first time, drop subjects when asked, and leave conversations kindly. Mutual consent and mutual respect are the entire social contract here, and the conversations are better for everyone when it holds.

Privacy Essentials

Share personal details slowly, glance at what’s behind you before you start, and prefer a neutral background — it’s both better-looking and more private. For how GazeVideo itself handles data, read the Privacy Policy.

When a Conversation Turns Wrong

  1. End it. You never need a reason to leave, and discomfort is reason enough. Trust your instincts — they’re usually early, not wrong.
  2. Don’t re-engage. Move on to a new match or take a break. Someone who made you uncomfortable doesn’t get a second conversation.
  3. Secure your accounts if money or personal details were involved. Change passwords and contact your bank or card provider promptly if you shared anything financial.

If someone claims to be under 18, or asks about your being under 18, end the conversation immediately. GazeVideo is for adults only.

A Realistic Bottom Line

Most conversations here are exactly what they look like: two adults talking, enjoying it or moving on. The habits above exist for the exceptions. Keep your information private, your boundaries clear, and the exit door in mind, and video chat stays what it should be — fun. For the full picture of what’s expected from everyone, read the Community Guidelines; for a calmer, more private session format, see private video chat.

Chat Smart, Then Enjoy It

The habits take seconds. The conversations are the point.
